The Story of Some Guy (day 4)

Ricked sat in his car for a couple minutes. Deep in thought. But, for the first time in a long time, Rick wasn’t thinking about what Lady or other people thought about them. He wasn’t worried about that. He wasn’t worried about anything. And that feeling made him smile. He was thinking about what to do. What did Rick WANT to do. That was never a question he asked himself. He always just did what others told him. Because he thought pleasing others made him happy. But those people didn’t deserve to be pleased. They never returned the gesture. It was time for Rick to please himself. Rick then laughed out loud because thinking he was going to please himself sounded like a jerk off joke. And crude humor made Rick chuckle. Rick loved to make jokes. No matter the situation, Rick used his sense of humor. It was a crutch, a defense mechanism, a way to cut tension, how he apologized and how he communicated. People always told him that made him immature. But the people who said that about him were grumpy fucks. He’d rather be immature then a judgey grouch. And at that moment, Rick knew what he was going to do.

Ricked took out his phone and googled Comedy Clubs Near Me. The closest clubs were in the Boston area, about 3 hours away. Rick then looked for Air BnB’s near those clubs and found one real cheap in Everett. He booked it for that night. He was ready to just his quest. His journey to find himself. Rick was going to become a stand up comic.

There was two things Rick had to take care of before he headed towards Everett. One, he had to call…
